Solid finale in my opinion.
I can see why various YouTube channels are predicting a return of all the Defenders next season, although it's a pipe dream.
I will say that I'm very surprised we got a mention of Ray Nadeem. That's a sign to me that this is a fairly full continuation of the prior Daredevil series, less of a Disney bargain than I'd feared. They could easily have not named him and made allusions instead.
We didn't need to wait for the finale to get that. It was clear from the opening of episode 1.
I mean in a war on vigilantes, the return of the Defenders makes sense. I expect us to see a new White Tiger next season. We already have Swordsman. Why not bring back some old ones?
I'd love to see that and will be disappointed if we don't see 'em all, but I like to keep my expectations... realistic?
If I only get to pick one, I pick Jessica Jones.
I think you can easily say that Luke & Claire moved away and Danny moved to some new magic realm.
But! If you're bringing them back, bring back everyone. Not just Jessica, Luke & Danny, bring back Misty Knight and Colleen Wing and just any side character we've introduced. We had Endgame. We're going to have Secret Wars. Give us the small screen version.
No, Luke was in a background ad in Times Square. He's still around and doing what he was at the end of Luke Cage season 2.
