I think the second part means "damn! Do we ever win?!" expressing frustration. Not sure with that grammar, though. At first I took it as "damn do we ever win" meaning that "we always win" or "we win big".

yep. good hearted doesn't mean nazi coddler, in fact, it often indicates a reduced amount of tolerance for the people who make intolerance their entire personality.
