it seems to me like the people should have no problem coordinating an attack on fox news that would take them off the air. i feel like that's an easy one to do that doesn't require a leader, just anonymously post maps detailing the infrastructure of their studios, where security guards are posted, any known passkeys, etc.

If this hypothetical were to come to pass I personally wouldn't call it an attack, so much as a day of love where nothing was done wrong.

Eh. I don't care about Internet points, I just think it's funny. And even though we're on Lemmy we should probably still be careful about out-and-out calling for attacks against a rogue president's favorite news station.

We can go politely ask them to stop broadcasting. In numbers.

no offense, but can we please stop with the goose and gander comparisons? it just feels like trying to slam dunk for internet points. we all know they're hypocrites. let's just focus on solutions rather than finger pointing.

that would take them off the air.

Not sure how hard that would be. Their disaster recovery plan would have to be pretty bad not to be able to switch to another geographic location in a hot minute. And if they're still in Rockefeller, you'd probably have a hell getting past the elevators without them shutting it down. They probably have backup satellite uplink so you can't just knock out their fiber.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for another Max Headroom, but I think we need to shut them down with fairness in broadcasting laws, or, gallows, just sayin'

well good luck with the regulations part. i've lost all faith in lawful good actions.
