For those that don't know - in the UK these two actors also both played the role of the prime minister in two very different series. Paul Eddington was the PM in Yes, Prime Minister. A brilliant comedy about British politics. Ian Richardson was PM in the original version of House of Cards.

Both were absolutely perfect in their respective parts.

Yes, Minister (starting with series 2) is so so so good. It really said what they wanted to say.

Yes, PM, (to me) never had the same oomph, but Eddington and Hawthorne are so damn charming it keeps you around.

That's true but "The Key" (Season 1 Episode 4) of Yes Prime Minister had me choking with laughter. One of the best episodes of British Sitcom ever.
