Thus disarming the lie that he's a dictator that is spread by fine people like Donald Trump, Elon Musk and Lemmy tankies.

He said this to counter the russian lies (that Trump and Musk are parroting) that he's in effect a dictator because he hasn't "allowed" elections.

How are they Russian lies if Trump and Musk are saying them? Is this a case of Americans always blaming their own bad behaviour on foreigners?
