Just today, when I start Voyager the interface appears and then disappears leaving a black screen.

I’ve tried restarting the phone and force quitting the app.

Re-install next.

Yup, that fixed it, now commenting from Voyager web app on Android > Chrome > Incognito, logged into lemmy.world.

If I go to my "installed" Voyager web app, still black screen, and that one is logged into BeeHaw.

So I can't say that this is only affecting Voyager x BeeHaw, but Voyager is definitely reacting differently to BeeHaw and lemmy.world accounts πŸ˜“

It’s to do with a change in Lemmy (and timestamps) it applies to any instance that updates beyond 0.18.4b5 .

Until Voyager puts in a fix, it will not work with more and more instances as they update.

update β€” both versions now load the interface for me (Android), so guess I was wrong πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

β€”β€”β€”

So I guess for those of us logged in to a "black" instance, that will mean:

β€” Re-installing the web app, as there's no interface to do the update with, and/or

β€” Uninstall/reinstall (or cache wipe) of native app? Or maybe just wait for auto-update from Play Store? πŸ€”

Either way, it seems like Voyager needs the ability to fail more gracefully in these situations.
