What on earth does demure mean apart from its usual meaning?
It was a meme to call everything "demure" for a while, stemming from a viral video.

In this case, mostly being non-imposing in an "elegant" manner
The same as its initial meaning, but lacking the "submission" context. It's a mindful attempt to be kind and facilitating to other people.
