Bit of an itch to scratch with medical dramas so I tried watching Brilliant Minds. Dear lord this is absolute schlock compared to The Pitt. The direction is cliche, the dialogue is revoltingly bad and Zachary Quinto absolutely can't act. Terminated

Maybe I should try watching Scrubs some day... maybe that could be my treat when I finish uni.

ER is on iView and it is pretty brilliant tv, especially the first few seasons.

I've been thinking about watching it after reading all about how The Pitt is basically the spiritual successor of ER and how that show was the OG premium medical drama...

I absolutely can't get into a long show until I finish uni though because I can totally see myself avoiding my commitments by binge watching for weeks 🥲

How is The Pitt?

Someone was trying to recommend me to me yesterday at work and told me a little bit about it.

Late reply, it might be a bit triggering if you have had any traumatic experiences in medical settings including the care of others (this is why I haven't recommended it to my brother). Or cathartic, depending on which phase you're in...

Lots of high praise from drs about the accuracy of most medical details but also the dynamics and characters, environment etc. To the point that it's a bit too real and too similar to work so not enjoyable for some haha.

Is it particularly graphic as well?

Oh boy. Some scenes are some of the hardest to watch ever haha I screamed at the TV. They're not very long though so you can look away and not miss much.
