You don't understand!

This is a Tesla!

If the stock keeps going up, if the P/E keeps going up, that means this car is an appreciating asset, an investment!

It'll self drive one day!

It always gets software upgrades!

(In actuality the attempt at pricing here is following the same logic as the private home / apartment sales / rental market: I am hugely in the hole from my mortgage / renovation, and my price reflects mainly what I need to become financially sound again, fuck the concept of 'fair market value' when it isn't convenient for me, personally.)
