There are certain things I don't really mind being add-ons.

That one Motorola (I think?) smartphone a while back that had actual camera lenses you could swap out like an SLR sounded pretty dope. I've read a general science and technology thing once that talked about tools for scientific research as just things you can plug into a smartphone for the power, and software side of things to do various kinds of scans (mostly medical stuff) that is as close to a real world tricorder we might have right now.

But needing an adapter to use a wired headphone or something instead of just having a god damn 3.5mm port or things of similar nature can go to hell.

I'm fucked up.. need a new phone.. really don't want to lose my 3.5mm jack. Big music guy, have nice head phones that don't run out of battery. During band practice it's nice being able to plug into the speakers we have for playback.

Not even sure what's still viable for an upgrade... Hate the idea of getting a fucking dongle. ಠ⁠︵⁠ಠ

GSMArena.com has a searcheable database of phones both old and new. One can filter for 3.5mm jacks.
