I’m a beginner what the fuck happened, why is the opponent so big ??
EDIT: I understand that he killed himself to deny the gold to the enemy team. But how did the neutral hit him from this far? Can you explain?
EDIT 2: it’s the plant! He placed it so much earlier, did he plan it :)) ? That’s so impressive! What is this character?
Treant Protector is the hero being tossed back into his enemies' base by Tiny (which ironically is a giant).
Treant Protector has an Aghanim's Sceptre that allows him to plant "Eyes in the Forest", basically mark trees so they give vision around them. You plant those eyes around the map to be notified of enemy movements, so you just put them everywhere you can.
Treant also has an ultimate that roots and damages everyone around him. When you get the Aghanim's Sceptre and the Eyes in the Forest, the ultimate does not only happen around Treant himself, but also in the vision range of each tree that was marked with Eyes in the Forest.
In this case, one of those eyes was near a Tormentor, and Tormentors reflect all damage they take. So when the ultimate was cast, it was also applied to the Tormentor, and thus reflected the damage back to Treant, just when he was low hp and about to be killed alone in the enemy base, 75 minutes into the game.
It's so incredible because it not only was entirely unplanned, but extremely difficult to figure out what the fuck happened at all, because there was nothing close by that could have denied him.
That’s why I love DotA 2! I just got back to my house and my gaming PC & I played a game of “soft support” and I just had tremendous influence running across the map with my Q to rotate, using the portals to gank our offlane and get kills for the carry.
I just understand better and better the structure of the game and it’s so impressive that contrary to League of Legends, all roles feel so much more important. The game is so much more exciting :))
EDIT: and the two free skins I got are incredible, the empress set for medusa and the anniversary skin for Earthshaker
Thank you for the explanation!
~~I don't know who the player is~~, but the enemy is big because at minute 60, tier 5 neutral items can be found in the jungle. One is Giant's Ring, which increases the hero size and gives you free pathing (you can walk over cliffs etc.). I assume Tiny (appropriately named) has this neutral item.
Edit: Looks like the player is "Respect" from Into the Breach, a pro team and the game was from the TI 2023 regional qualifiers.
