TW mention of injections and link to training video
Apparently the way to practice intramuscular injections is on oranges and subcutaneous is on bananas. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7wFbxDqhNnQSo looks like weβre going for the bananas. π π
Torturing fruit wasnβt on my bingo card for this year but gotta get those nursing skills up. The worse time these bananas have the easier things will be for my cat. This will also be useful in future when she starts to need sub q fluids.
Itβs just my nerves and my damn hands. Wondering if some thumb splints would help stabilise them.
Edit: Also why am I not allowed to save the video to my cat care playlist because itβs designated for kids? I meanβ¦ is this targeted content for children? Are they often required to watch veterinary training content? Wild.
I was told that surgeon school interview includes apple peeling. I happen to be excellent at that but I have no intention to become a surgeon.
Oh wow really? I can kind of peel an apple with a knife but itβs taxing on my hands and hard to do thin peels or long strips
