I was very surprised to see it getting an update in 2024. These wallpapers are old so I guess it was a security update or adding support for new Android version.

are security updates done in the same way that fdroid gets installed?

i'm a neophyte to things like fdroid and plan on using it on one of my devices, but hasn't yet done his homework on it.

Uhm but I meant a regular app update? It's done the same way on F-Droid, Play Store, GitHub and manual APK installation.
