Yeah, it's sad that the climate was a blip on the radar in this election. People think their wallets are empty now, just wait until climate change really gets going.
It's because the average person cannot conceptualize an existential threat. Hell, even I can't really conceive of how badly climate change is gonna fuck up my life, but I listen to the people smarter than me telling me it will.
Tiktok reduced the avagerage attention span to 30 seconds.....
Politicians plan for 4-5 years until there is the next election...
Humanity is bad at planning further in the future.....
The more we head down the drain the more I look to the lives that people in developing nations lead and think “huh, I guess we’re going for equality by making everything worse instead of better. Awesome.”
It’s not gunna be great.
