This is for @Gibsonhasafluffybutt but why hide it from everyone else?
If you have a Line 6 user in your life, they put up a bunch of free patches on their blog and YouTube videos. Here's one for HX models that makes it sound like two rhythm guitars at once, the link to the chat is in the chat replay https://www.youtube.com/live/dMZBiG3sP70?si=u5ONG6dUYPXsI3Rq
Dude I had a go of it and its perfect for open mic! Thanks heaps for that :)
You could add a slow attack synth pad to really fill in sections like the chorus of a song. The possibilities are endless with the Helix
Dude! I'm gonna give that a go tomorrow!
Because open mic venues usually have stereo speakers setup for their PA, you can build some really cool, multipath stereo patches in the helix.
For example:
Blend 2 amps on the first path and path 2 can have 2 delays, each panned hard left and right with a stereo reverb at the end.
Sounds fucking insane!
I used to buy pedals every week and had some weird obsession with buying more and more.
Since I got the helix, I only have bought one. The hologram microcosm because it's trippy as fuck lol
I saw a video on the Microcosm, it looks very nice.
And yeah, the Helix can be more than a pedalboard or your rig in a box. It can almost be your whole studio on the go with all the things you can do with it. Get crazy on the outputs and blow everyone away with what you can do at an open mic with just your guitar and a single floor unit
Absolutely man. Like, having it warm and filled out more adds a real nice vibe to the set.
Even with the microcosm sitting low volume in the background makes a huge difference
