From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Hi all, I have already asked this question on the KDE forum and didn't get many responses really, so I'm coming here for help. Any idea how to fix the caps lock key and make it work faster instead of THis? Thank you

"Its always wayland" is the new "its always DNS"

Except we all need DNS, and I have no need to use wayland

For now but if its no longer being maintained it will eventually stop working on new hardware

Interesting, and weird.

Save it and then go to “Gnome Tweaks” and activate the option “make Caps Lock an additional Ctrl” on “Additional Layout Options - Caps Lock behavior”.

And how do I do that on Plasma? What's the equivalent to that in plasma?

If you are on Plasma 6, it should be "System Settings" - Keyboard - Advanced, select "Configure keyboard options", and you'll find the "Caps Lock behavior" - maybe even two, but one of them have a lot of options as to what you want to do with your Caps Lock key.

I actually found that option (damn plasma has everything lol) and selecting it killed the capslock completely. However, doing whatever the person did in the link without the option selected fixed the issue.

The fix is to make it a Ctrl key.
