For those people who used to play The Secret World, want to play it (I know not a lot of people do) and run linux there is a way to run the launcher on Bottles by using the following:

  • Runner: sys-wine

  • Dependencies: d3dx9, d3dcompiler_43, d3dcompiler_47, d3dx11, d3dcompiler_46, d3dcompiler_42

  • Windows Version - Windows 7

  • Turn on: Steam Runtime

  • if you are running multiple monitors the game might run in a weird resolution or taking up half the screen. So the solution or fix for me is: Settings - Advanced Display Settings - Turn on Virtual Desktop and write your Resolution there, Change the Renderer to Vulkan

I did love this game.

Even played the Legends remake when that launched (they even let us transfer our old character/currency)

Blood/Rifle or Blood/Shotgun were really fun.

:) Same here loved the game. Used to play it every day.

They released a Tabletop game for it a few months ago.

Update: You might get a blue screen when launched this is normal. The window might be small in a corner just set up the fullscreen there and choose resolution and it should be fixed.

IF anyone sees a new way to run it please let us know.
