Kingdom of Squares is my entry to the Egypt Game Jam 2024, it's a 2D archery game where you defend a fortress.

It was made in only 5 days, any feedback welcome!

Simple but satisfying. Haven't finished the game yet but I'm having fun (even with the dark stage surprisingly enough).

I have one strange issue with the web version, though it might have something to do with my setup (hardened Firefox). Trying to play in full screen on one of my monitors cuts off half of the game like this. No problems on chromium or monitor 2.

Very weird. That's probably due to your browser since I know firefox forks don't run too well with Webgl2, I mainly use regular Firefox and fullscreen works normally there. Glad you like the game though!

Yeah, that's what I think too. Just wanted to mention it in case someone else has similar problem.

It's hard! Once you've missed a few and your rhythm is out you're probably done for. I'm stuck on level three - it's pretty difficult as you don't have any feedback on when you miss once they're past the light. I'm sticking with it, though - clearly you have a story to tell...

Thanks for trying it out, I've gotten some good feedback on year 3 from others as well. I definitely overdid it with the darkness a bit, but I've got plans for a "definitive edition" of the game with some more content and a less punishing difficulty.
