The former TV presenter said that it would be posted on his website. He also noted that Elon Musk had promised not to block this interview with Putin on X (Twitter).

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Tucker Carlson is a traitor and a Russian asset.

[–] SinningStromgald@lemmy.world 76 points 9 months ago (1 children)

And none of the numbskulls who consume his hateful rhetoric will ever believe that.

[–] Burn_The_Right@lemmy.world 34 points 9 months ago

It seems like they already know and that's what they like about him.

[–] tsonfeir@lemm.ee 69 points 9 months ago

~~Tucker Carlson~~ The Republican Party.

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 14 points 9 months ago

Russian asshat.

[–] LEDZeppelin@lemmy.world 102 points 9 months ago (2 children)

2028 this anal wart is running for president. Mark my words.

[–] Tja@programming.dev 10 points 9 months ago

We then will need Jon Stewart to run against him, to wipe the floor with him. Again.

[–] theangryseal@lemmy.world 5 points 9 months ago (1 children)

That is a terrifying thought.

He could actually win it.

[–] Yokozuna@lemmy.world 3 points 9 months ago

Yea you're not wrong. The Republicans are playing the long game here. They're really getting involved with the youth, I mean just look at rumble for example and whatever other medium they've been using. The Democrats are virtually non-existent it feels like on the social networking side of things or maybe it's just the Right is obnoxiously loud. It's scary man, if they can mobilize and weaponize the younger demographic voters then what does that spell for the short term (2028) or even the longer term when their ideals are fully cemented and are less likely to be swayed unless a serious upheaval happens.

He's not an idiot. He knows exactly what he's doing.

[–] Joelk111@lemmy.world 30 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Someone can knowingly be an idiot.

[–] tsonfeir@lemm.ee 5 points 9 months ago (1 children)

He doesn’t know he’s useless though.

[–] Joelk111@lemmy.world 13 points 9 months ago (7 children)

His history is really interesting. He wasn't always a raging republican. He realized it worked and got views though, so here we are. I'd highly reccommend watching Some More News' video on the guy, it's interesting and kinda funny in all of the depressing ways.

[–] tsonfeir@lemm.ee 3 points 9 months ago

A lot of these extreme “center” (ahem) media personalities are simply doing it for views. Boggles my noggin.

Tucker Carlson remains dedicated to "both sides"ing even to the point of giving a soft ball interview to a dictator.

"The former TV presenter said that it would be posted on his website. **He also noted that Elon Musk had promised not to block this interview with Putin on X (Twitter)." **

Of course he will; they coordinated this together. Now I'm not claiming I have proof of this, but tell me this doesn't smell 97% probable.

Musk just wants to end the war sob. Won't anyone think of the ~~children~~ dictators. /s

[–] fluxion@lemmy.world 6 points 9 months ago

I hope they're meeting in a skyscraper so Tuck Tuck can get a good view of Moscow.

[–] BestBouclettes@jlai.lu 5 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Good view from halfway down?

[–] Zahille7@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago (1 children)

It'll seem like it's coming at him really fast though

[–] tuxtey@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago

He'll just get to experience it all at once

[–] slurpeesoforion@startrek.website 33 points 9 months ago (9 children)

Maybe Zelenskyy can agree and put him in jail until the war is over.

[–] pearsaltchocolatebar@discuss.online 20 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

He is a Russian asset, so Zelenskyy wouldn't even be in the wrong.

The “interview” is just cover.

My bet is Putin is vetting Tucker Carlson for Trump’s running mate.

Once Tucker kisses the ring, and likely commits a crime (or other misdeeds) on Putin’s orders (to serve as puppet-string kompromat for Putin’s plans), Putin will give the blessing for Trump to announce Tucker Carlson as his VP running mate.

Then, just imagine a 2028 Presidential bid from Tucker (win or lose in ‘24)…

[–] crawancon@lemm.ee 10 points 9 months ago

the keywest butt tickler for president ?
I dunno man, that guy is walking, talking garbage.

so yeah, he's a shoe in for this country. crap.

[–] realitista@lemmy.world 31 points 9 months ago

Stay the fuck in Russia Tucker.

[–] Burn_The_Right@lemmy.world 21 points 9 months ago

Maybe while travelling from Russia to Ukraine, he'll become a casualty of a genocidal invasion he supports.

[–] TWeaK@lemm.ee 14 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (2 children)

Inb4 Tucker Carlson dies in the next few weeks, and everyone in close contact with him suffers serious illness, all in an attempt to get at Zelenski.

Check your underwear, Carlson, that's more of a risk to you than any window.

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 8 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (1 children)

Think Carlson will put a GPS in his ass so Putin can get coordinates on Zelenskyy?

[–] bazus1@lemmy.world 8 points 9 months ago

That's what Carlson heard them say, but he didn't see what it was they put up there forcefully and repeatedly.

[–] CeeBee@lemmy.world 5 points 9 months ago (4 children)

Are you suggesting he will randomly autodefenestrate himself?

Oohh Elon will allow free speech on Twitter when it benefits him

[–] sebinspace@lemmy.world 3 points 9 months ago

Absolutely.

[–] troyunrau@lemmy.ca 11 points 9 months ago

Well, he is probably trying to get Putin to invade Canada, because he couldn't get the US to do it.

[–] Fallenwout@lemmy.world 9 points 9 months ago (1 children)

They putin a request for an interview with Zelensky.

I know it would probably start world war 3 but it might be worth it to just bomb Moscow. He's that much of a tit.
