I used to love jamming to Stabbing Westward when I played Quake. You could even play a cd in the game through the console menu. Man I feel old. That is was in 1998!!

25 years later and that still sounds really cool!
I used to play Quake with all kinds of CDs. Offspring - Smash was a personal favorite.
I remember a friend playing final fantasy 7 and Summertime in the Void came on right as a battle started. The battle entry animations have the screen crack like glass, exposing the battle arena. It worked really well for where he was. In a forest I think.
I don't listen to a lot of music, but I have found that there's a decent overlap between what works as an epic boss track in an RPG, and what works as a "Pursuit" theme in an Ace Attorney game (when you really start unraveling the witness's lies)
Level four of Strider (arcade) syncs perfectly with Inspection: Check One by Leftfield. I played this combo many times on MAME back in the day.
Tame Impala's Current album plays pretty well along with Wizzard of Oz too, it's so good it makes me wonder if Kevin lined up Current to Dark Side of the Moon
Oooh. I’ll have to try that out. We love Tame Impala over here.
We are gonna do this next weekend. Is there a specific time to start the album in relation to the movie or no?
Bit of a weird one, but I was listening to Pick Up the Phone (by Dragonette) when I played Saya No Uta, and it oddly went really well together imo.
Fair warning: Saya No Uta is one of those "messed up" visual novels. It's very good imo, but not really something I'd feel comfortable recommending to anyone.
