This is HUGE! I can finally move from iceraven to mull, if all the extensions are avaliable.

Firefox is already the best browser. And the best mobile browser, especially on Android, where it can really shine (since on iOS it's just rebranded WebKit).

A full, open ecosystem of desktop extensions on mobile is bound to create a huge value gap between Firefox and other browsers.

Great news. Wish it was also happening on iOS

Nail in the coffin, ordering an android as my next phone.

Mobile browsing without ads is such a refreshing experience. Some apps show websites in the internal chromium webview, though and I am always unpleasantly surprised seeing websites in their natural state.

I'm having trouble reading the announcement; does this mean any extension I use on Firefox for Linux, I might be able to use on Android? LibRedirect is the main one I care about right now

Apparently, Firefox looks to see if it has the same extension and then pairs them. You don't actually get the original extension, just the Firefox version.

Are you talking about the Chrome extensions announcement? I understood this to be something different

You're right. My bad.
