Beautiful way to end Brazil streak.

[–] bolacha_de_polvilho@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The revolutionary, record breaking genius of Diniz at full display:

  • First coach to lose 2 games in a row in the national team history

  • First coach to lose 3 games in a row in the national team history

  • First defeat at home in wc qualifiers in the national team history

  • First defeat to Colombia in wc qualifiers in the national team history

  • First defeat to Uruguay in 22 years

  • 2W, 1D, 3L in 6 games

  • 5 goals conceded in the last 3 games (Brazil conceded 5 in all 17 games of the 2022 qualifiers)

  • only 3 goals scored in the last 5 games

Funnily enough this was the team's best performance under him

Damn that ref ain’t let 1 sec go past that 96:00 lol

[–] ancara_messi@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Brazil are dogshit. Uruguay is the team to beat for Argentina now, Colombia looking great too

[–] Hazeringx@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Racists: win.

[–] ceboja@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Brazil should be thankful that 900 teams are going to this World Cup lmao

[–] ancara_messi@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Brazil 2 points from elimination spots. Unbelievable

[–] ThatSmilingDude@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

LA CALLE PERDER EN BRASIL?

SCALONI: DISCULPA CRACK, NO LA CONOZCO

[–] ArmiinTamzarian@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Regardless of how you feel about either team personally I hope there is a ground we can all agree on: Joelinton getting tricked out of a game is insanely funny

[–] Yung2112@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Peak Haramball Scaloniball 2020-21 is back lol

[–] FerneCola@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Score goal

Don't concede

Lionel Scaloni, you've done it again!

PD: Que fecha FIFA más rara que solo jugamos una vez 😀

[–] supplementarytables@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

What a shit match and the ref only made it worse

[–] nabzyk@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This was embarrassing to watch honestly. The Brazilian game plan was to sprint at the Argentinians without proper passing and occasionally throw a diagonal cross to Rafinha or hand Emilio some air balls to play catch.

[–] Chocolinas@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

como se nota que no le gusta salir a endrick que ni salio a jugar

[–] GonzaloR87@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

That was ugly but this Brazil team sucks

[–] rama_castro@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Uma delicia

[–] ElmoOnSteroids@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

MI COLA JUGUETONA FAVORITA JAJAJA.

No fue roja igual y jugamos como el orto, seamos sinceros.

[–] VegetarianCannibal_@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Man Raphinha, Richarlison and Antony has to be the most underwhelming Brazilian winger trio ever. Neymar and Vini sorely missed.

[–] Alarie51@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Now we know why they deploy their cowardly police before every game. Trash team

[–] NairobiBA@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Que lindo romperles el invicto, y que se escuchaban mas a los hinchas argentos que a ellos en el maracanaaaaa

[–] siva-pc@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Nice showcase of conmebol football to the world

[–] kirbag@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Disculpá si te rompí el orto, asi es el futbol champagne 😎

[–] KonigSteve@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

DePaul is insufferable to watch

[–] MorgenMariamne@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Hundreds of years of history and an Argentine who's nice is yet to be born. Horrible refereeing, De Paul and Lo Celso being simply unbearable, someone invented in 2022 that Dibu Martinez was a good goalkeeper when he is ordinary and unbearable and Messi being a coward against Brazil as he has been throughout his career (0 G/A against Brazil).

Fuck you, Diniz, and if I see any Argentinians complaining I'd just like to remind you that your salary doesn't buy a Coca-Cola in Brazil.

[–] No-Zucchini2787@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

So it happened. Brazil lost first home WCQ. 22 man walked in 21 came back.

[–] Rusiano@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Wtf happened to Brazil since the World Cup

[–] Elcorcell@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

People saying that ref ruined the match when the guy was doing his best not to give red cards and keep control of the match

[–] gonnj@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

South american football will probably look real bad if Fluminense beat Ittihad at the CWC. We might see the south american champions lose by 8 or 9 against City. Diniz is the biggest fraud in the world

[–] WTFitsD@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Only thing I got out of this match is that our results werent a fluke and we are by far the best team in south america right now

[–] haime99@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Argentina were incredibly negative, felt like I was watching prime Atleti.

Somehow Argentina ended the game on 0 yellows. Ref just let them waste time all game long, and predictably blew his whistle at 96:00 exactly.

[–] Ghostface1357@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Oh how much Brazil miss Neymar.

[–] ssrodriguezc@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

people are really going to blame the loss on the ref? Brazil was not able to do sht all the match, aside from some individual plays. Now act as if it was a robbery, even if the red card came after the 80th min when argentina was already winning.

[–] ComradePoula@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Rodrigo De Paul MOTM. A performance for the ages by my shithouse king.

[–] wewvlad@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Ah endrick nothing about this guy screams "special"

Romero is the best defender in the world

[–] Elvaga@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Conmebolest match conmebol ever conmebol

[–] Brinner@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

That was the most South American football match I've seen in the past month

[–] bielzerian@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Predictable loss but not this way. It was an at least ok display by us but summing up the year it's 2014 levels of bad

[–] FriendlyGhost08@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Unfair red card affected the game but even before that Brazil couldn't finish anything and when that happens, a set piece goal is all it takes.

Don't rate Diniz ball at the national level lol

[–] Moist_Goat_41@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Raphina this is why you're being benched by 16 yr lol

[–] Salty_Homework3400@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago
[–] SparklyEarlAv32@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Impressive how Argentina has so many cunts yet they ask for respect, they are literally 2015-16 Chile levels of insufferable

[–] Any-Competition8494@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

What I don't get is why didn't Scaloni substitute Messi? He was clearly injured.

[–] maxiperalta54@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Genuinely couldn't be more proud of this team. Between what happened with the police brutality and the players jumping in to defend the fans, to ACTUALLY WINNING THE MATCH. I'm unbelievably proud right now.

[–] lethargio13@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

A mamarla gentuza

How the fk thats a straight red? De paul deserve an award for acting

Plus The worst ever Brazil team..... I think Brazil is done.... What kind of sh** attacking is this... No combinations no confidence just shooting and passing towards the box without any target

[–] perhapsasinner@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Well that's embarrassing, but one thing for sure for Brazil, it CAN go any lower than this, like, crashing early on Copa America...

[–] Uyemaz@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Brazil might have to abandon la Maracana. There most historic losses have all come in this single stadium:

- 1950 WC Final vs Uruguay

- 2014 WC Semi-Final vs Germany, 7-1

- 2021 Copa America Final vs Argentina

- 2023 WCQ vs Argentina, first home loss in their WCQ History.
