Can I just say that instead of new ones, I would love it if some of the current structures like jungle temples, desert wells etc. got a facelift? Jungle temples for example are really underwhelming, especially when you compare them to stuff like the bastions.

Full agree with that. Currently we need more quality for the structures, not more quantity. And it's so easy to cheese the jungle temples that it isn't even fun.

Yup. There's some mods out there that boast "100s of new structures!" and then they're just 3 sideways log blocks to make a fallen log lol

I'd absolutely recommend the Yung's Better mods for better versions of existing structures! They're incredibly in-depth and make the old structures massive

Not as in need but it kinda bugs me how oversized woodland mansions and outpost are. I kinda wish they were reworked to be smaller or if the same size a diff structure entirely.

Perhaps an Overworld fortress, either ruined or with Villagers or with Illagers.

There's a mod/datapack called Terralith that adds some villager castle-type structures, along with new and revamped biomes. As for Illagers, there's quite a few, but I personally recommend Illager Invasion!

I'll check it out. I think the Villager/Illager is really good for SMP so anything to add to that is great.

Maybe something that generates on the new mountains, like a castle or a fortress. Also jungle, swamp, and cherry grove villages.

That's a really cool idea! Old growth taiga & old growth spruce biomes kind of feel similar, but it would be awesome to have a lush biome with massive trees like the redwoods

Lol, like a village but full of pigs? I love it

A structure mod from 1.12 adds those, it's called Recurrent Complex. I haven't seen any for more recent versions though

Straight up battle towers. Classic mod feels decent enough for vanilla I'd like to see em

Overgrown paths in temperate biomes (ie those with exposed grass/podzol) -Rare lanterns along these trails(maybe also add extinguished/damaged lanterns) Occasional ruined villager buildings (like in the zombie-village structure but stand-alone and potentially half buried) -More likely in biomes where villages don't spawn (make it seem like they're sparse failed settlements, subtle world-building that there aren't villages for that biome)

Ruins. Like zombie villages but no zombies, buildings are partially buried. -Has ruined walls. (subtle worldbuilding that the reason villages don't have walls is that for reasons unknown villager-made walls don't work while golems kinda do)

Rare non-wrecked ships. -A few villagers complete with beds and workstations on a ship modeled after the shipwrecks from the aquatic update. I'd say similar rarity to mycelium islands.

I love that first idea! It would make the game feel so much more alive and make each world much more unique. Just trails from village to village would do a lot!

Funny you should mention non-wrecked ships, I made a mod for exactly this in 1.19.4 called Unwrecked Ships lol. Maybe I should update it to 1.20
