Quite strange when you know the scene.

[–] fastandcurious@lemmy.world 23 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (2 children)

What happened in the scene? I know i am uncultured AF

[–] DragonTypeWyvern 9 points 1 year ago

You really need to watch it to get the full impact, but this is the moment Super Fascist realizes quite a lot of people suck hard enough to support him.

[–] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 44 points 1 year ago (3 children)

I’m very conflicted about whether to upvote this, because Homelander.

[–] mashbooq@lemmy.world 28 points 1 year ago

Yeah, I read the good message, but then saw Homelander and thought, "makes fascists happy?"

[–] starman2112@sh.itjust.works 16 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I remember hearing that his actor got arrested a while back, and was afraid he'd done something horrendous, but it turned out he just got in a bar fight

Which if anything makes me like his portrayal of Homelander even more

[–] DragonTypeWyvern 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Well he got in a fight for being a prick, but that might be why he does such a good job?

[–] starman2112@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 year ago

Yeah, I mean he's definitely a prick, but I'm okay with my money going to pricks if they make an entertaining show

Memes can be taken at face value when deemed convenient. Enjoy.

On other sites, I've been corrected. And I've been corrected a bunch of times here, too.

The difference being here I learned something and it's cool.....

and say over at reddit being corrected on something that you're not only correct about, but called an asshole for it as well.

It's been a really nice change of pace. Thank you, inhabitants of Lemmy.

Unless it's windows...... never admit you're a windows user.... ever... /s

[–] Mr_Blott@lemmy.world 16 points 1 year ago

I have tremendous fun posting "Have you tried Windows?" on the Linux communities whenever someone posts a problem

It's exactly what they do a dozen times over on any queries about Windows problems, but strangely they don't find my answer helpful

[–] lolcatnip@reddthat.com 5 points 1 year ago

Also don't admit you use anything else made/owned by Microsoft. Or Google, Apple, Facebook, Twitter, or—God forbid—Reddit.

[–] AceCephalon@pawb.social 4 points 1 year ago

Yep, that actual chance at learning something instead of being blindly insulted anyway is such a refreshing change.

~~And especially never admit you're totally not running Windows on a Protogen because you couldn't be bothered to modify it.~~

"phobic comments"

Ok bro. I'm dumbphobic and triggered by this pessimistic and super over-generalized hot take.

This is offensively exceptionalist.

[–] Mr_Blott@lemmy.world 14 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Oh god I'm going to have to sit down and figure out how I can be offended by this comment, hold on

[–] dream_weasel@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 year ago

I believe in you!

Lemmy isn't bleeding edge but it's better than a lot of places

[–] lurch@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

> implying bleeding edge is good

I am afraid of, and hate, spiders and the welsh.

[–] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I don’t know this reference, but they’re actually pretty cool, once you get to know them.

Spiders, I mean.

[–] kambusha@feddit.ch 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Glass full of spiders it is

[–] Wage_slave@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago

Suddenly Christmas at Granny's.

[–] 30p87@feddit.de 7 points 1 year ago

There's much phobia here, notably Windowsphobia and Applephobia, also known as Scamphobia.

[–] HiddenLayer5@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Guys I'm really scared of falling into a volcano. I don't care what the libs say, we shouldn't tolerate active volcanoes in our cities! It's against God's will!

[–] lseif@sopuli.xyz 3 points 1 year ago

[–] paddirn@lemmy.world -1 points 1 year ago

That sounds like something they would say.
