Would’ve really appreciated this 6 months ago instead of now :/

[–] Space-Debris@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

115 charges - silence
1 charge - docked 10 points

[–] XboxValentine@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Here we go 🍿the Reddit lawyers/judges/juries and executioners as well as geopolitical experts will be out imminently.

[–] FieldsOfKashmir@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I hope it gets wiped clean. This is a travesty.

[–] MinMorts@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

They haven't even gone into last place with the deduction, so I think they should be fine

[–] DuncanGabble@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

'Can't punish the fans'

6 teams tried to destroy English football.

[–] MiggeldyMackDaddy@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Lads we want ye gone, but ye keep surviving, so here ye go.

[–] Louis22J@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

People to thinking city and Chelsea are getting away with it. I don't think so. This is setting a precedent. City are fucked.

[–] Altruistic_Finger669@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

People are screaming bloody murder about City and Chelsea but i think this punishment, is really bad news for both. Im much more confident now, that they will face deductions

Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool might very well be fighting for the title as we speak.

This obsession people have with pretending Man City are getting away unnoticed with breaking financial rules really need to go outside more. Just because Everton have been dealt with first doesn't mean City have been forgotten about or the charges against them aren't real. It was explained at the time they were announced that their charges could take years to be settled, but a few months later people piss their pants about them not being punished yet.

Everton have left a trail of breadcrumbs to their massive financial mismanagement over the last few years and they've been punished for it after a literal years ong investigation. Why the fuck is it so hard for people to talk about this instead of just rolling around on the floor screaming about Man City?

Premier league. Strong on the poor. Weak on the rich.

But not City 🤣

[–] mitchyjuice@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Absolutely crying laughing about an article being about Everton and then looking at the comments being about City. I thought nobody cared about them? Amazing how rent free they live in your heads.

[–] Difficult_Boat4355@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Holy! The EPL is a joke

[–] Fanboy8057@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Juventus 🤝 Everton

[–] bananarama03@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Thankfully Everton actually look decent this season and the rest of the bottom 4 are absolute dross so they should still stay up

[–] dreamingawake09@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Everton will get out of the relegation zone. They're playing significantly better than the true bottom 3 and feel like they've finally turned the corner as a team.

[–] IndyFiveHunnit@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Meanwhile City…

[–] whoyungjerz@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

And nothing to city?!

[–] MrBismarck@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

This might be the season where there are three teams worse than Everten.

[–] awgnnerd@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Can someone highlight why Chelsea is being grouped in with City? City have 115 charges pending. Whereas for Chelsea it's more so about the source of money Roman used rather than cooked books right?

Also, Chelsea have faced consequences in the past, the transfer ban and then being sanctioned (fans couldn't buy tickets, couldn't collect revenue from games) and sold off to the highest bidder as a pawn to again political points. Chelsea wouldn't be lower to mid table these last two seasons if it weren't for the sanctions cause Putin started a war.

Or is it just because we all hate the Chelsea?

[–] ParanoidHumanoid1@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Honestly if you support city after something like this where their crimes far outweigh anything here, you’re a loser.

[–] Ket_Cz@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

How’ve they been given more than we got 😭😭

[–] aehii@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

So saying refs are shit is 'bringing the game into disrepute', but handing a club a points reduction while leaving another club alone for the same rule breaches doesn't bring the game into disrepute?

[–] whoaaaaaah@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Will city receive a 1150 point deduction?

Straight to the national league

[–] Mets_BS@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

The premier League is gone BTW, 6 clubs tried to force a hostile takeover of the entire English football system and got fines.

[–] Swaglordzzz@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Without having read the article or caring too much, how did Everton get deducted before City? Worse lawyers?

[–] mr_nice_cack@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Great, do City next

[–] Silantro-89@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

If ever there was a season to get a points deduction this is the one.

[–] HelioFilter@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I don’t understand why Everton can’t buy a few players when Chelsea spends 8 figures on any soccer player with two legs

[–] Chris_Singadia99@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Any other season and I'd be absolutely certain that this points deduction would send Everton down but this season's promoted teams are some of the worst in recent memories and it's going to take an absolute miracle for anybody other than them to make the drop.

[–] Nyushi@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Very lucky for Everton that the bottom of the league is absolutely woeful this year. They'll probably still survive relegation.

[–] hitokiri_battousai@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

ok, so how about man city and their 115 charges?

[–] Dismal-Cause-3025@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Breaking News - Man City to be awarded 10 points

[–] RashfordSoupKitchen@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Tied for last in prem with same GD as united

[–] ParanoidHumanoid1@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Why isn’t Manchester City held to the same standards as a struggling club that’s already financially in the shitter? At least deduct points consistently for these offenses instead of brazenly ignoring the richest club in the world

[–] ljeutenantdan@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

The league is a joke.

[–] Pillarsoffrost@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Gotta expel city from the football league if this is the precedent

[–] el_rompe_toyotas_19@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago
[–] dat_w@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

lol, City going straight back to sunday league if anything comes out of these charges then

Hahahahahaha fuck you toffees

[–] Iswaterreallywet@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Didn’t know this was about Manchester City, the club the im told no one here cares about.

[–] HerofromAliahan@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Guess Man City have the better lawyers!!

[–] Wannabepilot101@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

What a joke. If they want to set precedent, then city should be relegated to the national league. That a 1150 points deduction.

[–] derpferd@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Meanwhile, City out here winning trebles and trophies and what not and....

[–] 16intheclip@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Moral of the story: Do not cooperate with the FA or any other organisation, threaten them with lawsuits and act as if you've done nothing wrong.

[–] CanadianToffee18@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Going to go on a bit of a rant here.

Portsmouth goes into administration and they get docked 9 points. Meanwhile, Everton got the highest penalty in Prem history over 20 million euros which did not help us stay up at all and that money was used to help fund our stadium at a time when the cost of everything went up during Covid. Fucking joke FFP and the premier league is. Everton had been working with the Premier League for a couple of seasons and got the all-clear that everything was good this means for the last two seasons we were selling our best players left right and center to try and comply, meanwhile, Man City has been hiding behind worse infractions through their lawyers for over 10 YEARS now and will probably get a 1.15 million fine.

[–] TMyriadJ@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

In the middle of the season? No way!
