Didn’t we also break the record for the latest winner as well this season? If this all doesn’t sum up Tottenham and what it’s like to support them I don’t know what does.

The greatest bottlers

[–] Mac10p@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Couldn't have happened to a nicer set of supporters

[–] cicakganteng@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Tldr; no team is more bottler than spurs

This is the most Tottenham statistic I’ve seen since Ange took over.

[–] rins4m4@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Spurs fan : I can't say I don't expect this.

[–] diaboquepaoamassou@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Arsenal: most time top of the league without winning

Tottenham: most time leading in a match without winning

🤝

[–] Aggravating-Oil2048@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Thats good thing to hear as an arsenal fan

Record breaking bottlers

[–] antivirals_@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

this gives me flashbacks to how long we led the league last season

[–] dave1992@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Huh, surely there has been 90+ minutes turn around before?

Do people even know what the meaning of "games gone" is anymore?

[–] xaviernoodlebrain@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I prefer really not to speak.

[–] JoleeBindbro@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (3 children)

If any CB partnership in the PL was going to achieve this it was definitely gonna be Dier and Davies.

The drop in quality from Romero and VDV to them is absolutely absurd the more I think about it lmao

[–] usernamethatcounts@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Sanchez weren’t great but without another CB coming in it was crazy to go into the season with just 3 senior CB’s. Sanchez over Dier in a high line all day long if I had to choose.

Man City and Liverpool back in a title race, West Ham sliding down the table, Spurs bottling games. Nature is healing.

"88 minutes: No team has been trailing in a Premier League match as long as Wolves did on Saturday and ended up winning the game."

Just sounds better to me for some reason.

Dunking on Spurs is a footballing pastime. It's like having coffee/tea to start your day.

[–] SemiCurrentGuy@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

It's football heritage

[–] AvikHyp3@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

It's the history...

[–] theYorkist01@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Mate, it’s Tottenham

"Give me the spursiest stat you have"

[–] ObservantOrangutan@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (2 children)

Be interesting to see how records like this evolve now with stoppage being actual true added time.

Back a few years ago this game would’ve ended at 90+4.

[–] GingerSpencer@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Unless it was United.

Tottenham and losing, no more iconic duo than that.
