General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

!ukpolitics@lemm.ee appears to have vanished! We can still see cached content from this link, but goodbye I guess! :'(

Put her and the rest of this pathetic government on a boat to Rowanda is the ruling I am hoping for. Don't think it will be but one can live in hope and die downtrodden ,)

I dunno, given that the Rwanda deal has always been a two way exchange (we send small boat migrants to Rwanda, we take vulnerable refugees from Rwanda) I'd hate to think what we might get in return. Although, thinking on it, they probably couldn't be any worse than the current lot.

I do so love it when these fuckers shove each other under the bus.

They're all waiting to do it, and are always so surprised when it happens to them.

the rwanda supreme court decision is next wednesday. If her flagship fails, it should be curtains, if it isnt already

This could be the reason why she is being as aggressive as she is. She wants to be kicked before the judgement is pronounced. There have been plenty legal experts who have said that this has no chance of success. She is a very petulant person, and probably wants to avoid having to face the failure yet again in urgent questions. I must admit I love seeing Yvette Cooper tear into her.
