It's Agbonlahor saying it not United FFS.
Football / Soccer / Calcio / Futebol / Fußball
This is not the opinion of anyone at the club, this is just ramblings of a fucking idiot. Gabby Agbonlahor of the shitrag that is TalkSport. And some quotes from Scholes as well.
As for the actual premise, it is ridiculous to suggest that a buyer club can be "deceived" when it comes to a player that has played a shitload of games for the seller club. We didn't buy Varane because someone told us he was good, we bought him because his quality was evident. No one was "deceived", that's just TalkSport being the shitrag that it's always been.
Now, I do agree that he isn't exactly a leader, or a transformative player like van Dijk or Diaz, but he is damn good when he's in form and in the right partnership, we saw it last season.
There is a reason Maguire-Varane isn't a pairing we see often: it doesn't really work. This is why Maguire-Evans has been our go-to in the absence of Martinez.
He was great for them.... Buyers remorse?
ETH is Principal Skinner.
The fax machine sends it's regards
The title of this article is completely different from the actual content in the article. The article is about an old Aston Villa player saying how poor Varane and Case have been.
There really should be more vetting when it comes to articles that are allowed to be posted here.
But its always a race here to post the latest article on United
World Cup winner Raphael Varane? That Varane?
These posts add no value but just generate clicks. How would Gabby who is not related to United in any way know what United is thinking. It’s not like United was sat sulking in a pub and he ran into it and asked. What a BS article.
😂😂😂😂
Honestly noone should be buying big names from Madrid, they seem like masters at getting rid of players at the right time.
That's just the man united effect.
Man United, where players go to die.
Put some respect on Jonny Evans’ back-up’s name.
Baseless dribble like this gets upvoted because people want to believe due to Utd being in the mid at the moment. Genuine cringe headlines made for clicks and nerds for falling for it.
Should've put 'according to Gabriel Agbonlahor' in the title, so we all could've saved our time and ignored this article.
well maybe you deserve it for clicking it despite it being from the clowns at talkshite my friend!
In FM, before buying an important player, I check their injury history. If a nobody like me can take 5 minutes to check something like that then Maybe United should, you know, check on small things like that before buying. Do the diligent work.
I wouldn't buy Neymar for example. I don't care how good he is. I need my players to actually be able to play at like 85% of my matches.
Talkshite back at it again.
Don’t remember all of this talk about Varane when United finished with the most clean sheets in the PL last season.
Yeah making fun of United and their scouting is fun, but it’s a bit of an overreaction considering the entire team is underperforming right now.
Hahahhahaahaaha pre retirement vacation for our players hahhahahaha
lmao this is a tiktok level title
Why not just say Agbonlahor is the one saying this? Not that anyone is seriously thinking Varanes ability is overrated, which it's not. When he's been 100% fit we've looked impenetrable. But he's made of glass and exactly why we should have bought a CB instead of Amrabat this summer.
Varane was declining already with Madrid - they often sell a season or two before it really happens
It's quite simple. The team worked at Madrid. Everyone had their role and everyone knew how the others played. Manchester have 11 headless chickens running around the pitch. Varane could play with France tomorrow and he'd be as good as everyone else. It's the same with casemiro
His performances dropped this season, maybe he is past his peak or his motivation is just too low at the moment
Why is this trash on /r/soccer. Surely we're better than this.
He's not overrated...just injury prone. And man u knew that before they purchased his services
He's too good for United and he knows it. So psychplogically he is not interested. United need a mirror when they start accusing people of shit.
The problem with Rapha is his best games are past him already ,not that he's not good anymore .
Delete this shite, it’s clickbaity and misleading. Plus it’s from TalkSport, so it doesn’t deserve anyone’s attention.
Talksport ya right!!
Bunch of friends writing this at the pub
Aother Papa Perez masterclass, he had Varane in his prime and decided to sell him the moment his performance started to decline.
How does this work? Do they not have scouts and ask clubs 'nicely' how much their players are worth? Its not like real manipulated his stats or anything.
