I feel like this is the start of the end of ETH, horrible performance by Man U

[–] sociableninja@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Questions need to be asked about Ten Hag. He's into his second season but hasn't established fundamentals of play. Arteta, Ange, Xavi (weakest example, but still) have established principles and patterns of play upon which they have built subsequently. Arteta especially instantly improved phase 1 and rest defence of the team in his first season, something that is still a strength of Arsenal

What has ten Hag established?

[–] HoneyPotterGang@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Good from Grealish today.

Glad Antony came on so late, he was gonna injure someone if that game was any longer.

[–] fools_eye@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Don't forget that Glazers are holding out for more than 6 billion for this pile of terribly managed garbage.

I'd support Communism just to see incomptentent ratfucks like the Glazers stripped of their inherited wealth.

Took a successful club, sucked the money and soul of it and still want billions for the husk left.

They’re cooking United on commentary on Bein Sports broadcast. They said this is the worst United side ever post-Fergie, jeez Louise

[–] thecescshow@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Ppl keep saying that after every bad run by United.

[–] Frankel-@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Where do I start? Pellestri, where were your fans this game? Outsung for 90 minutes and your lot left early!

Bruno, Antony, both absolute pure shite. There was a time people said Bruno was better than KDB. Blasphemous.

Eth not long for that job. Never felt more like singing the blues...

[–] Kalavrios@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Utd's lack of leaders is just shocking. Pampered, over paid, gutless, when will the cycle end.

[–] MellowJackal@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

that wasn't a pen

[–] B191@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Nothing unexpected happened in this match and I am a United fan

[–] AnotherDepressedBoy@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I feel like neither side tried that hard today.

Which shows the state of both clubs.

[–] nihil0null@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Tuned in the last 10 minutes and gotta say that was absolutely pathetic, a group of grown manchildren crying because they were outplayed and trying to injure the opposition while the ref was too scared to red card any of them in Old Trafford

[–] innit122@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Rashford didn't even look like he wanted to try most of the game. Don't know how he holds a starting spot

[–] HANAEMILK@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

ETH will never drop his favourites. That's why Rashford and Antony play every game despite being the two worst wingers in the entire league.

[–] WallBroad@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Bernardo Silva had one of the best performances for a midfielder I have ever seen

[–] DoubleDeckerz@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

United better be this shite when they visit Anfield in 7 weeks.

[–] Conscious-Job1238@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Rodri is incredible once again, never steps foot in the wrong place

[–] Ellendiell@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Rodri, please stay forever at City!

[–] Hech15@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This could have look lot ugly if not for onana... United got fiddled by city

[–] sociableninja@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Another castle built upon sand is crumbling at United, who's the next person with the shovel?

[–] emize@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Training run.

xG:

United 1.03

City 3.93

Shots on target:

United 3 of 7

City 10 of 21

Manchester city would’ve had a tougher game playing against their own backups instead of United.

How many post match threads will get removed? Just stick with one, mods

[–] arsenal_is_best@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Utd can complain about penalty but other than that, they were shambolic. I don’t remember anything significant other than Mct shot and Rashford wide shot. They were lucky to win 2 of the last three games otherwise Ten Hag would be in real danger

[–] kaprrisch@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Close game. Very fun.

[–] ElCaminoInTheWest@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

£80m for Antony is one of the worst signings in history. The guy contributes absolutely nothing and seems a right cunt.

What a shambles of a performance all round.

[–] Modnal@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

In hindsight United should just have done a tactical forfeit

[–] merrybrissmas@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This game was fucking hilarious I love football

[–] Scattered97@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

That was the first time I've properly watched United since they somehow beat us on the opening day, and they were so, so poor. I can't believe how bad they were. The players just didn't look interested. You're playing for Manchester United, one of the all-time great football clubs, in a local derby, after your club's greatest-ever player has just died.

And yet they played the game like it was a training session. There's no leadership and no desire. If not for Onana City could've had 6 or 7! What a mess of a club. I think Ten Hag is genuinely a fraud, but sacking him won't change anything. There's something rotten at the heart of Manchester United, and until that's removed nothing will change.

Oh, and Antony's a twat and Fernandes is a moaning fucking manchild. Captain my arse.

[–] DangerouslyCheesey@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Ragnick looking like an absolutely genius for bouncing, dude saw the future. Now he’s taking the Austrian Nat team to Euros while United continue to fester.

[–] feage7@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Craziest decision ever that whole ragnick. Take the L by having him as interim manager so he can get a feel for what needs changing higher up and as a whole club structure. Then when it comes time for that to happen they interview a manager who goes "nah I don't want that" and then proceed to change the entire approach that was made to create a proper club structure in exchange for one person. Again.

[–] SwitchHitter17@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Yea the decision makers there really are so obviously clueless. You can tell there's no plan or strategy whatsoever.

[–] InSilicoRW@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I took the captaincy off Haaland and gave it to Watkins. Someone hold me.

[–] No_Zone4347@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Spending money on a ball playing goalkeeper only for him to have to kick it long all the time cuz we have no one to progress the ball.

Being in dire need of a ball carrier then signing Mason Mount, swear to god I'd rather have Fred back. He was good every once in a while at least.

Signing Casemiro only to have him replaced in a season or two, overpaying for him, Antony, Mount and Hojlund (who's actually been pretty good). Having McTominay having to carry the ball after 400 million spent, and losing 3-0 cause the goalkeeper had an insane game.

Having no class and trying to kick opposing players on purpose.

Eras really do come to an end. Era of Man United being a respectable football club.

[–] No_Can9567@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

United were a complete and utter embarrassment. City never got out of second gear, they were in complete and total control of the game from start to finish. United played against city the same way a bottom of the league team would play against city. United sat back and tried to hit on the counter. That’s not a revolutionary tactics that’s bottom of the league type of shit.
