If this was Rashford, he'd hit the defender or hit it straight at the goalkeeper.

With Son, you know that he's going to curl it in, but you don't know whether he's going to shoot it or cut inside first to create more space as he's capable of doing both. Also, there aren't any unnecessary extra touches. Get the ball, cut inside to create space, boom.

With Rashford, we don't know what he's going to do. In that situation, he's as likely to run to the left (most likely blocked by the 2 defenders) as he is to shoot with power and blocked or cut inside then shoot with power or make another few unnecessary touches. Now that I think about it, has Rashford scored with a curler?

In the second goal as well, if it was Rashford and Bruno, Rashford would probably ignore Bruno and go for goal himself and Bruno will moan if the shot misses or gets blocked.

Big Ange is making wonders

Fantastic goal, and proper reward for running his ass off to press the keeper. I've noticed that under Ange Son has really been busting his lungs to press, no wonder he's getting subbed off at 60-70 mins frequently. If he didnt run hard over to the keeper there he probably wouldnt have been in as good of a position to receive the ball after the turn over.

That number 13 on Fulham played Son onside and set a pick on the other defender to open up space.

The problem with Son is that he is irreplaceable. Not only is he a world class finisher, but his popularity is going to be extremely hard for Tottenham to replace. I honestly cannot imagine a post Son Korean national team. He is THE face of Korean football, and he has world class skills to bring the house down. Without him, everything will just be meh.

110 goals for Spurs puts him past Giggs at 11th place for single club PL goals, 10th is Gerrard at 120 goals for Liverpool, then 128 for Fowler.

As a life long footy fan from the weakest country of the east asian area (China lol), it makes me jealous to see players like Son and Mitoma shine at the highest level
