Neymar still killing it

[–] SoumaZz_@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Please never call Neymar again, he didn't get a single thing right in the entire game.

Props to Venezuela tho, Soteldo specially was really fun to watch, but he should have stood on top of the ball

[–] manualex16@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

So, Brazil had the ball after Romo kicked it out for a throw in but Brazil didn't get the ball back.

[–] gaia012@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

For people saying we should pass on Ancelotti to keep Diniz, this is the only thing I have to say:

🤨

[–] bielzerian@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Lol we're so losing the first one at home to Argentina jesus

[–] lee7on1@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I remember Bello from the days of degenerate gambling on Chilean league

[–] Augustor2@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It’s preposterous how some players have been able to get comfortable in thinking they’ll always get called up

CBF must have agreements with agents or something, because some calls are frankly bizarre, and I can't understand why Diniz would call some, when himself have no bond to them

[–] RAWRismashpeople@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

So fucking embarrassing. Can't wait for Ancelotti to come

[–] QuieroLaSeptima@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Enormous result for Venezuela

One of the best gifts you can give your child is to teach them how to deal with frustration from an early age, like this shitty game.

The only good thing was the fight at the end.

Happy Children's Day.

lol I dont blame you, the media will probably gas up Chile because they beat the worst Peru in decades

[–] Differ_cr@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Nah, por muy malos que seamos hay tres equipos claramente peores, por ahora...

Critics will say it's an exaggeration. That I'm taken by hyperbole. That I went crazy.

Well, I insist: Dinizism opens the doors of perception.

Dinizism is a way of feeling the game more than playing or analyzing the game.

Dinizismo doesn't talk about numbers, accurate passes, assists or even the perception of possession of the ball.

Forget objectivities.

Close your eyes and feel.

It's the masses in a trance in the stands.

Did you hear?

It's that scene from Star Wars where Luke Skywalker is told to turn off the machines and follow his intuition.

It's the sacred dialogue between team and fans.

It's movement, displacement, creativity.

It's the insistence on the goal despite the score.

It's pure meditation: living in the present, in this moment, in the multiple layers of now.

It's anti-ChatGPT, anti-algorithm, anti-system.

It's a touch of the ball.

It's Brazil - the Brazil of cracks, of samba, of capoeira, of rezadeiras, of terreiros.

You can try to explain as much as you want.

Try putting it into data, spreadsheets.

Talk about performance, processes, management. Stop trying to put it in a box and label it.

Anyone who understands Dinizismo does not know how to explain it.

Whoever knows how to explain it doesn't understand.

Wabi Sabi.

We don't watch football; football we feel (cheers to Sergio Vaz).

It was a pathetic draw against a Venezuela that should have been easily defeated, those fixated on objectivity will say.

Forget the score: it was much more than that.

It was pure love.

It's time to end Dinizism

[–] MeierKreis@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Folks are gonna blame solely Diniz because his experimenting is obviously what catches the most attention (specially with how amped up some folk in the media are with Diniz in an age where a adversarial relation with the media is widespread), but, holy fuck, how bad were the individual performances.

[–] Malvinas1820@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Elijo creer.

[–] Sneakiest@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Probably the best goal I’ve seen from Venezuela my whole life.

[–] GreatSpaniard@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Historic result for Venezuela drawing away to Brazil in Qualifying. They might actually qualify

Brazil has a midfield problem

Dinizism is fucking our midfield tbh. As much as I'd love for it to work for Brazil they're just not adapting fast. I think Vini just needs some games under his belt after coming back from injury to be back to 100%.

Brazil thought they would win this game whenever they wanted, they have to stop being this preposterous AND STOP CALLING RICHARLYSON, HE BARELY DESERVES TO START FOR TOTTENHAM, LET ALONE BRAZIL.

People want Neymar dropped when he was (again) the best player in the game

[–] 20cmdepersonalidade@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Now that's just hating, lmao. Venezuela wasted a shitload of time and he ended the game before he should, but we just shouldn't have let the game get to this point.

I'm so fucking happy. Only the third game but that's an amazing point to get. I was hoping we wouldn't concede more than 3 before the game. We can do this 🇻🇪

[–] Arantes_@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Taking a step back and comparing to other cycles, there are always periods during which Brazil dominate possession but fail to break through against minnows.

With Tite the biggest differences were that this phase didn't happen until later (instead, he started out on a big winning streak), and that the defense felt so secure.

Of course, that doesn't make it any better. Tying at home is always a disappointment. It's just not unprecedented.

[–] Helkix@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

That was a painful watch

Vini was terrible

I am also worried about the future of our midfield, Casemiro will probably not be starter level by the next WC

[–] AilBalT04_2@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Come on Venezuela, we need you guys on the world cup Bolivia won't get in it's your chance!
