Chocolate potatoes chips

What the actual fuck?!

[–] Flexspot@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

At some point you gotta wonder why, if that's legal, nobody ever does it in any other game.

Honestly never seen a more fixed match in my life.

Thats what one of the so-called 'best footballing nations in the world' need to win against Scotland??

We're fucking shite. We hammered yous once, and yous need the dodgiest refereeing of all time to achieve the exact same result in return?

Deary me. I mean I'd respect it if you'd managed to get to first in the group, but this? Wow....

[–] FootCheeseParmesan@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Rodri literally in tears banging the ground last time we played. Calm down flower.

[–] Kanesy99@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Don't mind losing to a better team but anyone trying to claim that McTominay goal was correctly disallowed is absolutely on one. Keep in mind, regardless of what UEFA try to claim 10/20 minutes after the fact, that the goal was initially disallowed for a foul. Lyndon Dykes is getting completely manhandled at the same time but somehow Hendry is the one supposedly giving away a foul, complete and utter shite from a referee who had a shocker.

he didn't signal for offside when he gave the freekick after going to the screen

They are straight up lying lol, I get feelings are running high but imagine making shit up just to force a false narrative

[–] vetokele@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It was offside the whole time. Whoever it was doing the broadcast misinterpreted “checking interference” as “checking foul”.

[–] Saltire_Blue@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The only way they can stop big sexy McTominay

[–] Okuyasu_Nijimira@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Has ido a matar jajaja

[–] Foreign_Lab6151@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Oh he signaled for no goal instead this calls for a replay

[–] DLSanma@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (6 children)

Beat them, injured robbo and absolutely got under their skin with the disallowed goal.

Couldn't have asked for a better thing to happen in our national day, today was truly scripted.

How does it feel to be humbled and humiliate by your parents (Ireland and England) and completely outperformed by your youngest sibling (Wales)?

The sound of silence 👌

[–] Crailas@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

A foul for a hand brushing against him? I'm surprised they didn't get the police involved

[–] DLSanma@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Not even a cunt like Rubiales would sexually assault an scot.

[–] IsleBeeTheir@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

What a weird position to take.

[–] zrkillerbush@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

True, I'd be very surprised to see Scotland not qualify, it would be one hell of a bottle

Correct at being wrong.

[–] moorkymadwan@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I think it was offside. My problem is the ref was called to look for a foul, called for a foul, UEFA said it was a foul and then 10 minutes later UEFA come back and say it was actually offside. That is a complete joke of a performance from the referee and VAR and is not fit for a game of this magnitude. Adding to that I thought the referee was completely woeful for the rest of the game as well which only added to this.

[–] Okuyasu_Nijimira@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Well, after this boring and controversial match, I may have something to say.

Personally, I think that Scotland's goal was valid. But even if it counted, they were playing like Getafe and it was a matter of time that someone scored. And the second Spanish goal was just perfect, que barbaridad Joselu.

Anyways I have to say goodbye to all of you Guiris, Mountain English and fellow Spaniards. 🇪🇸

[–] FootCheeseParmesan@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Relevant at being 2nd.

[–] forsakenpear@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Oh my god you actually think that was a foul that's hilarious

[–] forsakenpear@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

No you didn't. You explained why UEFA changed their minds later and said it was offside, But you didn't explain why the VAR and the ref both thought it was a foul.

It wasn't, it is a combination of people a) being very emotional after a major decision b) people not knowing the rules and c) a signal mistake from the ref, even though I am not sure about that since I didn't see the refs arm after the decision was made.

[–] cynical_scotsman@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Well, mate, I'm thinking the game was corrupt as fuck and they're throwing any reason they can at a wall to see what sticks.

But also, I'm kind of over it, and we'd have been lucky to get a point out the game.

It seems a mess and very conveinent for Spain is all.

[–] thenorwegianblue@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

In theory if we beat Spain and then beat Scotland with two goals Scotland need three points in Georgia.

[–] verycutebunny@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

i don't know if you're saying it wasn't fixed or if you're saying i should be noticing fixing more often

[–] DLSanma@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Es desternillante lo picados que están cuando ellos mismos hacen lo mismo, mentalidad penosa de persona pequeña pero que risas.

[–] FootCheeseParmesan@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

We can justify it because it was a goal.

[–] FootCheeseParmesan@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Actually, we want the English on Spains side on this one.

Time will tell mate, you won’t even get out of the groups stage if you get to the Euros, the same way you embarrass yourselves every single tournament you play, be it football be it rugby, it’s Scotland lads

Glasses of Spanish sweat as they type furiously defending blatant corruption.

I'm not convinced this is a universal thing across UEFA. In the official Laws of the Game document there are pages on refereeing signals with no mention of these

https://downloads.theifab.com/downloads/laws-of-the-game-2023-24?l=en

(page 63+)
