It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:

Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.

Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.

Just reading how it works seems like an over complication of something as simple as a bike trailer. And for $2200 with a max payload weight of only 110lbs?

Have you seen the price of electric cargo bikes?

Yeah, some can be had for half the price of that trailer - the Fiido T2 is $1200 on prime sale right now.

Ebike conversion kit $159.99

Bike trailer 109.99

Now attach it to the trailer instead of your bike and enjoy the squirreliest ride of your life!

Seriously though, you left out the battery. I'd also recommend Bafang as kits go.

sorry, just quickly searched for those thing, didn't realize that the battery wasn't included.

what do you mean attach it to the trailer?

like add hub engines to the trailer wheels?

No, I said the squirreliest ride of your life: Just one of the trailer wheels 😆

Be sure to record it for posterity though.

You'll be unstoppable!

How about a cargo bike that can extend and shorten?

[–] _haha_oh_wow_@sh.itjust.works 1 points 23 hours ago

It's an interesting idea, but it also sounds like it would pose a lot of engineering challenges.

I'd still rather have a Burley Travoy.

[–] _haha_oh_wow_@sh.itjust.works 1 points 23 hours ago

I settled for a shitty Schwinn but mostly because I can't afford Burley stuff.
