Instructions (best on desktop):

  1. Solve the grid using the clues provided. The direction of the word is indicated by the number around the grid (so some words are backwards).

  2. After you complete the grid, click the pencil icon tab at the bottom to switch over to solve the anagram. The title is a hint to the anagram!

Tap for spoilerWhy is it M. Descartes if the guy is called René and has no other names?

[–] redy_velvet@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I assume it's for Monsieur Descartes but I don't know French so I could be wrong

[–] OliveSheep@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Yeah this is the reason! I try to give a Mr. or Ms., such as Mr. Willis for Bruce Willis, but since this they're French I opted for "M."

How is the silent treatment mum doctor?

[–] KanadrAllegria@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I see it like"Mum" as used in the phrase "mums the word" which generally means "I won't say anything". It's kinda a sneaky pun.
