They all deserve Emmys, but this year will be stacked with some incredible shows. It’s gonna be an upset regardless, I feel.

For lead actress in a Drama series...

I think Britt Lower in Severance is a clear winner. I'm not even sure there is a close second choice, which sucks for Cristin Milioti.

For lead actor in a Drama I'm guessing,

  • Colin Farrell in The Penguin
  • Pedro Pascal in The Last of Us
  • Noah Wyle in The Pitt
  • Adam Scott in Severance
  • Gary Oldman in Slow Horses
  • Walton Goggins in The White Lotus

I think Colin could win... But daddy Pedro probably takes it.

Oh man, I'd love Gary Oldman but Slough House hasn't seen any love so far.

It's gotta by Noah Wyle VS Adam Scott, I'm as much of a Gogginophile as anyone, but still. Colin Farrell did well, but The Pitt deserves to sweep.

I've actually never seen Horses, I just know he was nominated last time and Gary Oldman is always fantastic.

I would be ecstatic is Noah Wyle and/or The Pitt in general swept. I went into that show with tempered expectations and was just blown away.

Adam Scott is great but look who he's up against. There is just no way. Even within Severance he's the runner up. John Turturro beats him. Christopher Walken beats him. Honestly I think even Zach Cherry and Tramell Tillman beat him. The best Adam Scott scenes are him playing off Britt Lower or Dichen Lachman. The only scene that might work is the innie vs outie conversation, but even that isn't beating any of the lead actors in other shows. I think Adam Scott is great, but no way is he winning. (@ me if I'm wrong in a few months.)

But! I stand by Pedro.

Btw, watch Slow Horses. Especially the first 2 seasons.

It's junk food tv, but it's so much fun to watch.

I think it might be Adam to basically throw it to all of severance as he's the lead, but turturro really rocked his seasons.

I went into the Pitt with 0 expectations. Figured I'd get bored halfway through the first episode. They broke the game this year just by being honest. 0 cgi or high concept bullshit, they just showed life at its most brutal.

Pedro got a lot out of the last episode, but he's not the star this season so I can see that running against him. Otoh the fact that he's not up for tlou s3 means he could get it for s1. He was acting the shit out of this last episode, damn.

Liked this show but didn't think it was amazing. I'll watch next season
