So why does the old Rani immediately start sucking up and toadying to the new one? I haven't seen any classic Who with the character yet, not sure if that's just expected behavior from her?

I'm still gobsmacked, it was better than I was expecting. It was interesting to see the Doctor go off the rails a bit, just, chills.

If the MC was in cryo and missed the dress rehearsal, and the control room was taken over, how was he able to announce an act and song before being pumped into space?
