I am investigating making my enterprise (cyber) security more European:

  • for those situations where Letโ€™s Encrypt (still) doesnโ€™t cut it: Globalsign is still Belgian I believe
  • MFA hardware tokens: I think only Nitrokey is German

What do you use or are you considering using?

Have you checked out Buypass? Norwegian alternative to Let's Encrypt. I have been meaning to try it, should be drop in replacement for LE witch acme.

Edit: Here is a link https://european-alternatives.eu/product/buypass-go-ssl

Thanks! I was aware of this one, but couldnโ€™t recall the name, but indeed BuyPass seems a good alternative.

The chips in security keys are mostly NXP or Infineon, kinda surprising there aren't more European finished products.
