For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.
No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.
Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

low orbit ion cannon and friends were tools for participating in anon ddos ops back in the day, but it wasn't exactly safe -- without a vpn your isp and other intermediaries can see your traffic, and the host can see your ip address. with a vpn you're in part dosing your vpn, depending on the attack

I applaud the blocking of social media as a form of activism and yet peaceful protest.
The conspiracy crowd believe that Anonymous are a wing of the FBI/CIA. I wonder how they'll reconcile known persons openly attacking another piece of the government. Probably “something something deep state”

Can confirm. As a former network support "staff" member I was paid by the both the CIA and the FBI. Neither paid very well though.
Well, they are attempting to fire a good portion of them. I wouldn't say it's out of the question.

Good on them, I guess. But Twitter is only a small part of the problem.
