Indeed. Maroon fuckers bad.

[–] TheAndrewBrown@lemm.ee 5 points 1 year ago

I would’ve done 3 straight screens after that one first down. You didn’t need many yards and you wanted to burn as much time as possible. The play calling at the end of this game bu both teams has been mind boggling

[–] TheAndrewBrown@lemm.ee 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

FSU holds on. FSU doesn’t feel like a #4 team but with how the rest of the country has looked, they still could easily be tbe 4th best.

[–] nurple@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

FSU is top 5 if they find consistency. Otherwise they’re a top 20 team.

[–] wjrii@kbin.social 4 points 1 year ago

Wow, Clemson really Clemson'd that last play.

[–] wjrii@kbin.social 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Well, that was some schadenfreude blueballs. Thanks for nothin', Dabo.

[–] Manibusan@fanaticus.social 4 points 1 year ago

Never have hope in Clemson to win a game you want your rival to lose 😂

[–] nurple@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

FSU is asleep at the wheel.

Is LSU that bad or did the hype get to their head?

Seriously, even the PAC's current timeslots must drive ol' Coach Prime absolutely nuts. Not surprised at all if he was pushing the B12 defection.

[–] TheAndrewBrown@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago

The B12 is going to be so fun going forward. I don’t know that we’ll get many, if any, national championships but it’s going to be fun to watch every year

[–] TheAndrewBrown@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago

I don’t understand that super conservative playcalling when you know you have such an inexperienced kicker. Pressure is the biggest killer of kickers and it’s hard to have more pressure than right now.

[–] cmbabul@fanaticus.social 3 points 1 year ago

I have two explanations for what has happened to Clemson, either Dabos stubbornness and old fashioned perspective has retarded the appeal of the program, which is most likely to me. Or more conspiratorially Saban has told the powers that be in Tuscaloosa this is his last rodeo and momma called Dabo home to take over

[–] wjrii@kbin.social 3 points 1 year ago

C'mon Dabo! I love you, you horrible, tedious man!

[–] Manibusan@fanaticus.social 3 points 1 year ago

Good game, I’m excited for us going forward this season!

[–] nurple@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Why in the fuck do you go for two passes in a row needing 1 yard in overtime. What a complete self own by Clemson.

[–] Manibusan@fanaticus.social 3 points 1 year ago (2 children)

My Clemson instinct is that the FSU touchdown seals the game.

[–] nurple@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

This ended up being correct because Clemson’s playcallers galaxy brained themselves into losing

[–] Manibusan@fanaticus.social 1 points 1 year ago

I’m used to that at this point, Tony Elliott still gives me nightmares.

[–] Manibusan@fanaticus.social 3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

I expected a loss today so I’m very pleased with how we played. One less turnover and we almost certainly win the game, which is much improved from week 1. Go Tigers!

[–] orangeNgreen@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That missed FG though! Hope you can pull it off in OT.

[–] Manibusan@fanaticus.social 2 points 1 year ago

Oh yeah I already forgot about the missed FG. 🤦🏻‍♂️

[–] TheAndrewBrown@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago

Wow that was pathetic. Even the announcers were saying that they should be planning exactly what to do in the huddle. How do you not even try to spike it there?

[–] TheAndrewBrown@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

FSU really should stop running the ball. Maybe try some more screens or something to get Clemson to loosen up but running it is just throwing away a play at this point

[–] garrett@infosec.pub 2 points 1 year ago

This is shaking up to be the game of the hour.

[–] ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Oh goodness, what a turn of events. Let's see if the momentum totally shifts in favor of FSU

[–] TheAndrewBrown@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

They needed that bad. Something like that can completely swing the momentum

[–] 1hitsong@lemmy.ml 0 points 1 year ago

Come on FSU!!

[–] garrett@infosec.pub 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Clemson is tied but looks fuckin awful.

[–] Manibusan@fanaticus.social 4 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (2 children)
  • Facing #4 Florida State
  • Florida State favored to win
  • Clemson lost to (at the time) unranked Duke

I don’t know what you expect from Clemson but they’ve looked better in this game than in any game previously this season. I guess we’re watching different games.

[–] TheAndrewBrown@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I think they’re just noticing the mistakes (which both sides have made plenty of). Overall, Clemson has looked great

[–] garrett@infosec.pub 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah, both sides are way messy with flashes of talent but idk what this says about the AP top 25.

[–] TheAndrewBrown@lemm.ee 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

All the top teams have looked messy this year. I think it’s actually great that there aren’t 2 or 3 teams that look completely unstoppable

[–] garrett@infosec.pub 5 points 1 year ago

Was just talking about this with a friend. It’s kinda awesome this year since truly anything can happen. Here’s to hoping this keeps up.

[–] garrett@infosec.pub 1 points 1 year ago

I know they’ve dumped outta the top 25 but it just looks wild messy on both sides. It’s certainly a fun watch though.
