I understand that not everything can be easily transitioned to renewables, but my gosh when sanctions started I stupidly thought in addition to throwing money at the war effort, we would throw money into energy independence through solar, wind, and renewables. We didn't, of course, so now we're back to square one, minus so many lives needlessly taken.

they're just as well funded, connected, and supported as isreali zionists; they have the means to see this and already know.
They must be pissed. All they can say is love Ukraine, hate Russia. Any other conversaion is banned from their community.
saddened is probably more likely since most ukranians were led to believe that they coulld join nato and things would be better.
it's only those of use either inside the imperial core of nato or completely outside of nato who can see its decline just the same; those at the periphery are unware that they're the cannon fodder that the american empire uses to conqueror others like russia or china.
