If you expect firefighting budgets to go up every year, maybe ask why. Why are fires more of a concern every year?

If you don't expect that, then seeing the budget go down sometimes should not be a concern.

For anyone unaware. California uses slavery to fight fires. This is why cops have a higher budget after cutting the Fire Budget. Anyone arrested for non-violent crimes, who serve a sentence of 10 months or more are pressured to join fire camp. They are not given full PPE. They get less than $1/hour when fighting active fires and it's extremely dangerous. They can't even be hired by Fire Departments when they leave prison.

This is why being unhoused is criminalized. It fuels the slavery machine. Other states lease out prisoners to work fast food, make clothes, etc. The USA is heavily backed by slave labor still to this day.

Nice. It's going just about how I expected it to. Privatization of the CA electrical utilities was a similar astounding success story /s

Aren’t a lot of ruling class homes burning right now?

Oh they’ll be fine. They can afford plenty of real estate.

Yes but unlike most people, their losses do get covered by insurance.

And they can afford to flee far away and stay in hotels in the meantime.

Yes. That's the hubris of capitalism. Climate disasters don't discriminate based on class, but they are accelerated by the ruling class.

Pretty much. Just like when Malibu burned. My South LA ass isn't even close, although everything smells like campfire and if you have asthma (as many in poverty do) it's still dangerous.

Save money, by ignoring consequences.
