Summary

A 44-year-old Turkish man suspected of being a major supplier of boats and engines to Channel people smugglers has been arrested at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport in a joint operation by the UK’s NCA and Dutch and Belgian police.

The NCA, which had been investigating him for years, said he shipped equipment from Turkey to northern France via Germany.

He will be extradited to Belgium to face human smuggling charges. UK officials, including PM Keir Starmer, praised the arrest but emphasized more work is needed to combat organised immigration crime.

They should really be arresting the people who prevent big boats from ferrying refugees away from the violence created by european/usa imperialism.
