I was a democrat for decades, they never wanted us in their party, they were always eyeing the GOP upwardly mobile suburban electorate and salivating, like a shitty boyfriend checking out another woman openly. Trump is kind of the best thing that could have happened to them, they get the voters they prefer and get to dump our ass.

Well, do you have millions of dollars in donor money? This is the inevitable outcome from the decades long process of legalising corruption. Both parties are now committed to do the bidding of the owner class, and the only difference between the parties is culture war bullshit (which incidentally also drives traffic on social media, which is great for their bottom line).
