You can say the same exact thing by just calling it modern conservatism. THIS is part of how they conserve wealth

How is it cheaper to have these kids institutionalized? It’s like $9000/month for a room in a nursing home.

[–] 2ndtryagain@beehaw.org 6 points 1 year ago

But that $9,000 goes to their donors.

Fuck Florida with a poison dildo!

“Obstruction for obstruction’s sake” might as well be the Republican Party motto. Good for the judge.

Conservatives thrive on attacking vulnerable groups. The more vulnerable the victim, the the more they enjoy the attack. This is just who conservatives are at their core.

Nearly every conservative policy in the last 30 years has been explicitly designed to harm vulnerable people, including children. All other conservative policies have been to enrich themselves.

There is no such thing as a "good conservative". No. Such. Thing.

"Are we the baddies?" -someone in Florida's state government

This is a real headline. This headline is real, and is not a joke.

That is horribly sad

Florida's government is fucking despicable, holy shit. So many people are suffering; it feels like we are going to need a massive underground intervention to get people out of this fucking hell hole. How are there this many selfish assholes running one state? How do these people sleep at night knowing they've fucked over 2000 medically fragile children? I just can't
