The series based on Dota (or was LoL?) was pretty good, if they could do 80% of that it would be enough

You're likely thinking of Arcane which was based on LoL.

It's impossible to know what it would've been like, but if it was anything like Arcane it would've been awesome.

In the time since 2019 WotC has been adding more and more non MtG IP into MtG. I wonder if they feel less confident about their own characters? If you'd told me back then that Dr. Ian Malcom would be on a card I wouldn't have believed you.

I'm not mad.

Wotc would probably have another controversy right before release and the resulting backlash would cause it not to have a sequel.
