Wondering why those jeans are superimposed on there...

I found the original and she's wearing an apron so I have no idea

Good bot. Nothing nefarious under there, whew!

[–] troybot@midwest.social 3 points 1 year ago

Looking at the r*ddit comments it looks like this is being spammed on the nostalgia sub so I guess it was done in an attempt to avoid auto mod deleting the post

[–] ggppjj@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago (1 children)

My bet is a cheap attempt to bypass a repost bot.

I choose to believe you

They're Jncos obviously. Don't you remember?

Backwards as well.

[–] Fallofturkey@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yes, I had the Jnco's, but the lunch lady sure did not

maybe yours didn't. ours was cool

[–] root_beer@midwest.social 2 points 1 year ago

Not sure the peak of jncos’ popularity was contemporaneous with Kris Kross but I guess everything sorta gets compressed in nostalgia

because it's 1993 and it's pizza day

[–] Rai@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That’s a breadtangle of pizza

“PIZZA BELONGS IN A TRIANGLE”

maybe the 4 tiny pieces that aren't parallelograms.

(I’m just quoting Teen Girl Squad which if you have not* watched, watch all of. It’s part of Strong Bad’a E-mails on Homestar Runner and I feel so old typing this comment)

I'm just saying that round pizzas cut tavern style is the best! You get parallelograms except for 4 tiny triangles: https://res.cloudinary.com/the-infatuation/image/upload/c_fill,w_750,ar_4:3,g_center,f_auto/MiddleBrow_TavernStyle%20Landscape

That one is cut in rectangles and not parallelograms. They really do improve the flavor!

These were octagonal in my school.

[–] MorrisonMotel6@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

Oh, in my school, the octagonal ones were "Mexican pizza," which I thought was way better

[–] DuffmanOfTheCosmos@beehaw.org 3 points 1 year ago

Close, but my elementary school only had two options: pepperoni or plain cheese. This sausage option must have come from the school in the rich kids neighborhood

[–] juice702@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

This one appears to have some meat on it. We only got the cheese version, and I can still remember the taste. That taste was bad.

[–] Neomega@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Oh that hits home. We had 4 lunch options. Every day had sausage pizza and veggie pizza lines. Then 2 rotating meal lines. Wasn't even that bad honestly.

The Jeno's factory was just across a bridge and they made the pizzas for school. It was rectangular individual pizzas and not slices from those big rectangles.
