So, what is "Russian elite troops" these days. Non-conscripted?

I thought the Wagner PMC was supposed to be the tide turner of the war. I guess you know what they say about the best laid planes of mice and men.

They still have elite troops? I would say at this point "russian elite troops" are mythical creatures akin to unicorns: they don't exist.

Likely they meant "elitt", which in Hungarian means "drunk away (wealth, money, etc)", so they're sending in their most alcoholic troops.

Also seems weird to wait until this point to deploy them right?

They were deployed, but in the East. This opens a window of opportunity to liberate some territories in the now weakened East.
