It is thought around £245m in additional funds will be made available by Ratcliffe for infrastructure works related to the stadium.

Seems like the only decent thing to come out for this for United fans, so far; Old Trafford has been crumbling for years now.

The alternative was Qatari state funded ownership. I don't care how shit the team is on the pitch, I don't want my club to ever become a state owned sportswashing project. I'd honestly rather keep the Glazer's in full control than become another Man City or Newcastle. That's the best thing about this for me, we really don't need owners to pump money into the club. We just need owners who are actually going to implement a proper structure to build for long-term success.

Sadly this position is regularly downvoted in r/reddevils. I was this close to quit supporting United, with the Greenwood thing and if the Qatari bid won. I want those bastards gone but not if Qatar takes over my club.

Any United fan who wanted Qatar is pathetic

I mean it's the original plastic supporters team and casual football fan team, that combined with the desperation to be good again probably had a lot of united fans frothing for oil money.

The original, perhaps, but it's been a while.
