Well, it certainly was not a surprise, was it?
Surprise? No.
The wrong decision? Yes.
The world cup needs to have a separate award because Haaland could not do more to deserve the award except be born from a more prominent footballing nation.
Every other year you'd be as well calling it the award for best player in the team that won the champions league
