Somehow we've so completely expunged anti-war politics from the US "left" that it is up to Gabbard and Vance to make these blinding obvious assertions like "wars cost resources" and "people can hit us back, which hurts"

Even if it is stated in Vance's characteristic grandiose lying fashion (e.g. Europe should have tried to stop us from invading Iraq, which some of them did)
